Pitt Receives NC Bar Bankruptcy Section's Lifetime Achievement Award

The North Carolina Bar Association Bankruptcy Section presented Walter W. Pitt, Jr. (known as "Wrennie") with its Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award, honoring Wrennie's service to and leadership within the Bankruptcy Section, was presented at the North Carolina Bar Association's 41st Annual Bankruptcy Institute in Pinehurst on November 2, 2018. The Lifetime Achievement Award, presented no more than once a year, recognizes bankruptcy attorneys who have contributed to the betterment of the Section and the profession, and who have set an aspiring example for those who follow.

A founding member of Bell, Davis & Pitt, Wrennie has practiced law in Winston-Salem for more than 40 years. Wrennie has significant experience with loan restructures, workouts and bankruptcies, with his practice focused on representing banks and financial institutions.

Throughout his career, Wrennie has fully embodied his belief that community service is an important duty as an attorney. He has previously served as the chair of the NCBA Bankruptcy Section, as well as chairman of the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem, president of SciWorks (now Kaleidium North) and president of the Metropolitan YMCA of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
