This past weekend BD&P welcomed to the firm our three 2018 summer clerks, Samuel Dearstyne, Taylor Carrere and Robert Padgett, III with a Saturday retreat including a hike to the top of More's Knob along with some swimming, fellowship and great food.
Samuel Dearstyne recently completed his second year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel HIll School of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts in political science, summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University. He has spent previous summers clerking with the Honorable Robert J. Conrad, U.S. District Court, Western District and working for various other firms, where he was able to work in numerous practice areas.
Taylor Carrere recently completed her second year of law achool and received her Bachelor of Arts in English, summa cum laude, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has previously worked as a research assistant for Professor Alex Chew at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law and clerked for the Honorable Rick Elmore, NC Court of Appeals.
Robert ("Robbie") Padgett, III just finished his first year at Wake Forest School of Law and has worked as tax staff accountant for an accounting firm, Plante & Moran, PLLC since 2013, before entering law school in 2017. Robbie received his BSBA in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Central Michigan University in 2013.
We are pleased to have Samuel, Taylor and Robbie working with the firm this summer.
