Davis’s practice focuses primarily in business litigation. He is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and regularly advises and represents clients in both states in cases involving unfair trade practices, insurance coverage, and breaches of contract, trade secrets, construction defects, professional negligence, employment claims and product liability claims. He regularly represents and advises financial institutions in various disputes and is also a certified mediator in North Carolina. Davis is a member of the construction law and litigation sections of the North Carolina Bar Association, and currently serves as President of the Justice Bobbitt Inn of Court in Charlotte.
Davis is actively involved in the Charlotte community. He is a long-time active member of First Presbyterian Church, where he has served as an elder and deacon, currently chairs the board of the Charlotte Housing Authority Scholarship Fund, and serves on the Community Link board, the Lawyer’s Mutual Charlotte Community Board, and the North Carolina Regional Council for Thompson Child & Family Focus.
Davis graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1999. He received his B.A. degree from Davidson College in 1994 and was a 2014 recipient of Davidson College’s Alumni Service Award.
