Attorneys based in our Charlotte office came together to support Service Juris Day, an annual event in which members of the Charlotte legal community gather for a day of hands-on volunteer work. The event is organized by Hands-On Charlotte, which directs volunteer services to meet the Charlotte community’s most pressing needs. This year, attorneys and their families pulled weeds and harvested vegetables for Friendship Gardens, an organization which provides fresh, sustainable, and healthy food for Charlotte’s Meals on Wheels program. A great success, Service Juris Day raised over $16,000 for Friendship Gardens and had over 100 volunteers. Bell, Davis, and Pitt was a bronze-level sponsor of the event.
Jason James, who serves on the Service Juris Day Steering Committee, coordinated Bell, Davis, and Pitt’s sponsorship and participation. Jason has also served on the Board of the ACE Mentor Program and participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Standout Charlotte program.
