Bell, Davis & Pitt has added two new directors, Joshua B. Durham (left) and Jason B. James (right), to our firm's Charlotte office. The two attorneys’ outstanding reputations as lawyers and leaders in the community strengthen our presence in Charlotte.
“As we expand in Charlotte, we are delighted to welcome Josh and Jason to our team,” said Ward Davis, who helped open the firm’s Charlotte office in 2004. “They are great lawyers and great people, well-respected in legal circles and the community at large. Josh and Jason combine the experience, commitment to quality, and the integrity that we value. We are proud to have them representing our clients and our firm in Charlotte.”
Josh Durham, previously a partner at Poyner Spruill LLP, has practiced law in Charlotte for 17 years. With a focus on litigation and intellectual property, Josh has represented clients in numerous industries, including financial services, transportation, hospitality, wireless communications, and automotive equipment manufacturing.
“The attorneys at Bell, Davis & Pitt are among the most knowledgeable and professional attorneys I have had the privilege of working with—and against—during my legal career,” said Durham. “I am extremely honored to be a part of their team and look forward to introducing our clients to these great people. The firm has outstanding talent and resources, as well as diverse practice areas, yet still offers a personal touch to its clients throughout North and South Carolina.”
With 15 years of legal experience, Jason James practices in the areas of litigation, construction law, and commercial and business tort law. Jason also comes to the firm from the Charlotte office of Poyner Spruill LLP. As a mediator certified by the N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission, he encourages parties engaged in litigation to work together to resolve their disputes prior to trial. Jason has a long history of service to both the Mecklenburg County Bar and North Carolina Bar Association.
“I could not be more excited to join the Bell, Davis & Pitt team,” said Jason James. “The firm’s attorneys are known for their high quality work on complex matters while providing a level of personal service and attention to our clients that is unsurpassed.”
With the addition of these two directors and plans for further growth in the near future, the firm's Charlotte office is already in the process of expanding its space in uptown Charlotte.
