Ryan Gaylord's practice primarily focuses on general business law. Ryan has particular expertise with the music, esports, and online media production industries, including entity formation and management, financing, commercial contracts, and trademark issues. His practice also includes advising tax-exempt organizations, as well as employment and criminal defense litigation.
Before joining Bell, Davis & Pitt in 2020, Ryan served as a staff clerk for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, where his caseload encompassed contract and insurance disputes, tax litigation, federal habeas, and a wide range of other appeals.
Ryan was born and raised in North Carolina. He graduated from Duke University and the University of Chicago Law School. In his free time, Ryan is enthusiastic about music performance and production — from classical string quartets to Arabic and Korean hip-hop. He also enjoys basketball, strategy games, and reading.
