Yadkin County 2017 Board of Equalization Deadline Set for May 23

2017 is a revalaution year for Yadkin County, and the County sent notices out in late February. At that time, the County had not yet set a deadline for filing a formal appeal to the Yadkin County Board of Equalization and Review.

Since then, the County has set a deadline, and it is right around the corner. Yadkin County was last revaluated in 2009, and in a previous article, we detailed how filing an appeal to the Board of Equalization and Review is the first step to filing an appeal for your tax value. If you want to appeal your 2017 tax value in Yadkin County, you must do so by May 23, 2017.

Yadkin County, which borders Forsyth County to the east, is anchored by Yadkinville. The county is known for its unique grape-growing region, known as the Yadkin Valley wine region. Major employers include Unifi Manufacturing Inc. in Yadkinville, Phillips Van Heusen Corp in Jonesville, and Lydall Thermal/Acoustical in Hamptonville.
